Natural Gas or Propane
Natural Gas Installations: If your heater is 0-50 feet from
your gas meter you must use minimum 3/4" gas line. If your heater is
50-200 feet from your gas meter you must use minimum 1" gas line.
Liquid Propane Installations: The Laars Hot Shot will consume
approximately 1.1 gallons of propane per hour. Each gallon of
propane is approximately 4.25 lbs. of propane. Select the propane
tank size convenient to your usage as determined using the Heat-up
Chart to the right.
Water Connections: The Laars Hot Shot is designed for 1½" PVC
pipe connections. Adapters are included for flexible hose filtration
systems.
Accessories: Optional kits available for use in hot tubs with
high water flow systems.
POOL HEATING CAPACITY
The heat-up chart on the right will tell you how effective the
Laars Hot Shot can be for your pool. Assuming the average depth of
your pool is 4 feet, and the average wind speed in your backyard is
3.5 mph, select a pool size (from the chart) which most closely
resembles your pool. The number in the right hand column is how many
degrees the Laars Hot Shot can increase your water temperature in a
8 hour time period. You and your family are more comfortable, and
your swimming pool season is extended! |
